Hm, come to think of it, I think it was on some Jasper reman thread that I saw a number stamping formatted like that. No recollection of presence/absence of the grind marks.....

Acetone collects in your kidneys and NEVER leaves..... If that wont keep you from using a freeby then please use "protection".. Maybe gloves.. I know it cleans but there are safer cleaners too.

No, the full wheel covers give it away, it's a civilian car now. Pry those off and get a set of dull gray plastic center/hub caps, and the tint and the spotlight will complete the effect. Every now and then I have to drive one of these for work. All white in this case, cheap interior, no trim to speak of. It's so amusing to be cruising down the Beltline, see someone coming up behind in the next lane going 10-15 MPH faster, and then suddenly slooooowwww dowwwwnnn......

If you get one, you will love it. I've had mine for 8 years. It is not going ANYWHERE!!!! I plan on keeping it "forever". Best family vehicle I've had. Even had a couple full size customized E-Series Vans and the Ex is better than even them. Takes me anywhere I want to go, no matter the weather, have plenty of room (I am 6'4" and ~350lbs) and get good mileage doing it. That is one reason I like bigger vehicles, as I don't fit well in little ones. With some back issues I've developed, it got to the point I couldn't drive the Neon I had, and got to the point I couldn't drive my Sable wagon anymore. The Ex became my daily driver. Now with the P71, and surprisingly the Jetta, I can drive all 3. (I think because the Jetta is an old one and is still "square" that makes it so I have the room I need......

i still have my 98 E350,
and the 6 door, for all of the family needs.
if i needed to, i could cram the 4 kids into my 01, but not comfortably,
i need to get on this van ASAP.
i need it to be road worthy and look decent within the next 3 months, before my twins are born.
long list of things to do to that one.....
i may end up keeping the 01, but its nice to have dreams.

i told my woman to get rid of her new korean POS. but she loves it.
:puke:
i will never ride in that thing!!! LOL

You get an Excursion.... the van won't look as appealing...... I know where there is a 7.3 Powered Ex for sale........

The VW is the only foreign car that I've owned. Actually I have only owned 4 Non-Fords.....

A 92 *****-ville
A 2000 Durango
An 02 Neon
91 VW Jetta

The VW is only because I wanted a small diesel commuter.....

One was a "gray area".... it was a 92 Ford Festiva........

Love my Fords..... between Dad and I we have owned at least 20 Fords over the years......

Fixed. Ruh-roh, this is becoming a "what's your vehicle history" thread.

1972 Nova - I6 "PowerSlide" two-speed auto. Only automatic vehicle I've ever owned
1980 Sunbird - glorified Vega with a WAY better (Iron Duke) engine
1980 Dodge Omni
1983 Plymouth Turismo - clone of the Omni, needed a lot of work, so the Omni was the parts donor.
1989 Plymouth Colt "gray area" import - sedans were made in Kentucky, my hatchback was made in Japan.
1996 Saturn SW2 - still in the back yard, haven't driven it in months. It's my phony "daily driver" cover vehicle that allows me to have collector plates on the.....
1985 F250 IDI - the "Batmobile" (rattle-can black). Registered as a "collector" (never needs to be renewed)

My wife's history, since we met - all manual transmissions:
1980 (don't laugh) Renault LeCar
1976 Dodge D100 short bed - "just like a queen, three on the tree"
1978 Dodge Omni
1980 Dodge Omni
1983 F150 2WD 300-6 **** brown
1995 F250 PSD 4x4 RCLB
1995 F250 PSD 4x4 ECLB
