Today was the first complete fill up of my new TDI (my daily driver). This is roughly 75% in city, 25% highway at 65mph. No AC use. I drive this car 6-7 days a week, and its taken me a month on this tank...so you can see just how "city" this tank is.
558.6 miles. 13.250 (might have been able to squeeze a little more in there, but I could see fuel in the filler neck and it was raining
). Call it 42mpg. I'm feeling that stirctly all highway low 50's would be easy to achieve (considering our auto goes from 35mpg driving like mine does, to 49mpg driving to Houston and back).

I've been drooling over a TDI ever since 2000 or so (in other words, when I became mature enough to recognize the value of a vehicle that got better than 15 mpg
