This may be my IDI hauler for the time being, so technically it has something to do with an IDI diesel.... :D:sly Some of you know i'm getting this pickup truck from Arizona......

Well, as crazy as i am, i've booked a flight on May 27, 2011 to Arizona to get my truck and DRIVE her home! I would like to ask my "family" in the Oilburner community to help me out. I'm posting the mapquest route i will be taking, could you PLEASE take a gander at it and see if you're/will be near the highways i will be traveling on memorial day weekend, if so, IF anything was to happen on my trip i would ever so kindly ask for assistance in getting the truck mobile again (knock on wood all goes well). If you could PM me your general location, and a telephone number it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! ;Sweet:Dcookoo

THANK YOU GUYS!!! ;Sweet

You will pass about an hour north of me ;Sweet. So if you break down between Dallas and the border of Arkansas I can help out.

What kind of milage does that get, to make it cost effective to drive it, instead of having it shipped?

Yeah, Road trips are fun , cant knock that. But driving 2400 miles in an unknown 40 year old vehicle is a BIG gamble.

I know I passed up un that gamble to have my 86 shipped to PA from OR. I am glad I did. It wouldnt have made it. Then I would have been out more days of work, repair/ towing cost, hotel bills, food cost.........

Just hope you thought it out, thats all

I am surprised you don't run I-40 to Ok then up I-44 to st louis and across I-70.

interesting 5 or so miles difference.I just did a comparison.

If you have trouble I will be happy to offer any help I can.

Coming down I-20 you pass right by Eastland Tx. So any trouble between Abilene and Dallas and I should be able to lend a hand.
Work permitting anyway. I'm not working right now but hopefully I will be by then.
And if I am at work and you happen to need help my father in law should be available also.
When you get to Eastland stop at the truckstop at the 340 exit and give me a holler and I'll buy you a cup of coffee and we can shoot the breeze for a few if you have time.
