Goofyexponent
Mentally Unstable..
I have actually worry about mine not getting hot enough. The highest I have ever seen was about 190 and that was pulling 4 wet round bales loaded onto a 5 bale hauler trailer. I have pulled a little heavier but I was beating the truck on that run. Now that it is cooling off a little I cant keep the truck above 150-160 to save my life unloaded. I actually have a huge piece of cardboard covering up about a quarter of the radiator with those temps.
Your thermostat is either non existant, or stuck WIDE open.
I had the SAME problems, but I got sick of it and I went at the truck with 4 gallons of concentrated coolant, DCA's, new thromostat and gasket. I soon found that the thermostat was stuck wide open, hardly allowing my truck to reach 170* with the grille cover installed in above freezing temperatures.
Change the thermostat and the coolant...be sure to at least TRY to get the block drains out (I got lucky and mine came right out!)
