AIRDOG + IDI ANYONE?

Exactly. They are reliable and relatively inexpensive to maintain. No offense, but if you want to throw money around, why not buy a powerstroke? Slap in a chip and you have most IDI's beat.

Also, when did fabricating parts for a truck engine series that had little to NO aftermarket support become "redneck"? If you want to do ANY kind of conversion, you have to make it yourself.
Redneck is putting stacks on a station wagon, not putting a new style fuel pump in an older truck.

The money I make is hard earned most of the time.
The work I do is hard learned.
The reply you gave is well thought out.
But I am knee deep in my truck and I dont mind spending money
on a vehicle that I have owned since 1999.
I do all my own work SOLO and that is how I learn to work smarter
not harder.

As far as my holley goes, been on my truck since 2004 used it till 2007 it took a 3 year break, and after 3 years silent works as good as the day I put the truck up.

I dont care if the FASS or AIRDOG cost money, it is ok with me, I just want to keep my truck cause it is CHEAP....

I had forgotten about that rig being your build before my last post. I wouldn't want to give it up either after all of that work!

At first I did think you wanted to do the FASS or Airdog system just to be unique rather than efficient, I admit. But there is nothing wrong with wanting the absolute best. Others including myself simply wanted to give you other, less costly, options that are available.

some people dont get it, sometimes simple math is so complicated.

Like nobody would believe using synthetic oil is cheaper than using conventional!

I believe it cause I actually use it!

I'm using a 6.5 electric pump on mine with no problems. I know, I know but it was free. Idles at 6psi and drops to 4psi WOT with a load on it.

You did not specify what pump you are talking about. I would like to know, because I am going to sell my truck, but I need to replace the elec lift pump first. I have a dead E3158 which I think comes off a gm diesel. Cheapest I can find it is $50 and so your $35 pump sounds better...
