Thats the same Brand I used, but are your precups different? In the picture it looks like they are deeper than factory

i belive the 83 model 6.9 already has a lower compression, correct? like 20.7:1 i think?
Yes. Those were the model "A" engines.
Not really...the difference in compression ratio's negligible. The A engine's 20.7:1 and the B engine's 21.5:1. I imagine you could safely get SOME more boost, but I honestly don't know how much....but I imagine it wouldn't be more than a couple of PSI difference. It's not like you can safely run 30 PSIthis means more boost with head studs correct![]()
i thought later 6.9 had 22.5:1, and 7.3 had the 21.5:1, and my next question would a truck that come out in 10/83 still have the old engine cause i have one![]()

The model A engines were in production until mid 84' I believe. So yes, you should have one.![]()
