Sorry I haven't been arond to give an update of any kind..... I've been at work till 11pm ughhh, and sleeping yesterday lol. Okay so valley pan grommett has already been fixed on this truck it ya'll remmeber correctly, last summer in august or september. I can't even consider fixing that myself, I already know that, requires pulling the turbo, etc etc.... Now even if I fix the grommett it needs 1000$ worth of work done to the clutch/slave cylinder/tranny. I'm having a hard time putting probly 1500 bucks into this truck right now, cause I KNOW something else will come up with it sooner or later. I just have bad luck mostly, but I need to get to work 45 miles each way everyday, which sucks. I'm driving my moms truck right now but thats not gunna last long........

I love my truck but I'm pretty sure it would do a lot better with someone who can fool with it all the time......cause that's what it needs.... haha....

I would say don't give up on it, but some times You have to do what You have to do. I really am sorry You are not closer bc the problems You have are not really so bad as far as I read on this thread but I'm sure at least one of the guys on the forum will jump on this problem and Maybe bring this truck back to reliable with out the extra cost of a shop. I used to work on a fellow Oilburner trucks all the time and now is gone so if You ever move near Maryland You have a friend

Sam, I clearly remember you fixed the pedestal o-ring, don't recall nothing about valley pan grommet tho. They both require pulling the turbo, as they both sit under it, only the o-ring is right under the turbo, and the grommet is one part further down - is it possible that you are mistaken on what was replaced?

I would ditch the ZF5 and put a T19 and splitter behind it, it could be done for much less than the work you need done on that ZF and I bet you would have some volunteers to help out. Also I bet you could find one of these other guys willing to help with the turbo, it must be something minor with that.... Whatever happens we all understand you have to do what you have to do to get by. Good luck with it and don't be a stranger :)

Fer sure the valley pan grommett was fixed over the summer, It was another adventure that required me taking it to my friends shop. It may have gone out again, it seems the most logical.....

freight train..... make an offer in a PM if'n you want......

I wouldn't be a stranger, just dunno if I'll have another IDI, i'd love to keep the truck and get another but finances won't allow for that at all......

Sam, what's the source of the leak? Is it the grommet? Is it the oil supply to the turbo? I would not sell the truck and buy another without knowing what the heck is wrong with it. I think it will be a simple and cheep fix. Just my opinion, but I could be wrong. The Rally is close. Do you think you can get it there?

I would certainly keep it until after the Rally at a minimum. I bet all your problems would be solved if you can get it there. I think your issues are smaller than you percieve.

4X4TruckinGirl - ATS has a "complete" kit of the rubber sealing parts for the Ford/ATS turbo for about $50.
How far is the truck from BG KY right now? I may be deadheading that way with my trailer.
I could fit it on if your tires do not sick out any further than your D60 locking hubs. I have an 81" absolute max width. The D60 is 80". You can PM me if you wish.

If hers is the big yellow truck I'm thinking of, it should be just a standard cab 133" wheelbase truck.

Freight Train is correct, Sam's truck is not the Yellow one Mel's thinking of - hers is grey and black two-tone, and is an ext cab long bed with a wheel base of 155".
