I was definately considering going until i figureed out how far id have to drive...... It would be 2845mi. one way!!! Id half to go half way across canada then down into the states, that would be the longest drive ever! see how thing work out from now till then. sounds like it would definatly be a blast.

It only seems far until you realize you drive back and forth to work or wherever over and over again and not worry about how the trucks going to do. In reality, it will be more reliable running continously than with all that starting and stopping. ;)

Besides I'm driving 2217 miles! That's the combined distance for all 3 trucks that will be coming. That will be about 150 gallons of fuel one way!

you definately have a point there, but driving back and forth to work and home for 3k miles isn't in a strange place where you don't have a bunch of friends and family that can come and bail you out if something should go wrong. then things start to cost some real money.:puke: ouch are you paying for the "night moose's" fuel too?

That's where the convoy really matters. I've been able to do it before (8 hours half of the trip in '06) and it's really a nice comfort to have a guy running with you that can help you if needed. But, to be honest, if there is not a major mechanical problem, I wouldn't hesitate to make the trip. Remember, that's what these trucks where designed for.........continuous work!;Sweet:hail

+1 on that. Been in convoys the past 2 years where problems developed in the fleet. Always good to have somebody there to either help or chase parts.;Sweet

Just make sure you make your reservation at the campground if you have even an inkling that you might go. You can always cancel, if you can't make it. Yea I'll probably buy his fuel. His birthday is at the end of July.
