My waste oil cleaning set

I got a DeLaval centrifuge From a 50s ice breaker. It's really quite cute. I still have to add an online oil heater before the inlet, likely made from an old block heater and temp controller.
The main o ring in the centrifuge is also kinda ******, so it leaks out the barrier water through the case drain.
So far I have mostly used it for ****** diesel with good results.
My 6.2 diesel doesn't mind

That's pretty sweet...... where did you score the DeLaval? I associate DeLaval with dairy cream separators, but it makes sence that they made other type of centerfuges.

The centrifuge actually looks like cream separator cones..... fascinating......

I just looked and saw that you're in Denmark/Germany...... i bet that stuff might be a bit more available over there....

It's quite rare to run waste oil. I got this from a neighbor who has a shipyard. He is retired now but used to scrap ships regularly. This one was used on a polar diesel. I don't know if it maybe is a dairy centrifuge but is was used for oil many years
I don't know of anyone else doing this.

I looked it up and theres a YouTube of a set up very similar to yours.....

Its definitely not a dairy centrifuge....but very similar.....

This is the exact same centrifuge. I still have that same original motor. It is 110v so I couldn't use it. I'm quite surprised at the high flow rate. I run mine at much lower flow

Excellent! I was talking to a friend about centrifuging oil the other day. I guess it's the best way to clean WMO for use as fuel.
