My truck has a stock 7.3 turbo. What is the max psi put out by the turbo? They offer 3 different ranges of gauges . Also which EGT gauge should I buy? There is one for 1500 degree max and one for I think 3000 degree.

If everything's all stock, I don't think it put out any more than 10 PSI. It might be as low as 6-8. Aluminum starts to melt at around 1200* so that means engine damage. You want to stay below that.

Psi is dependent on the waste gates adjustment, BEFORE you mess with it, search how and why here first.
An ats will easily hit 15.
Your egt's are way more critical, as stated above, piston damage begins at 1200 degrees
A safety margin @ 1100-1150 is well advised.
Hit the stickies and read up.
The closer to 1200 15 vs 30 the better it will read visually for you
Bigger hash mark separation and you will lift off the closer to the end of the sweep versus the middle of the gauge

Here's a tip...
Set the point on the individual gauge corresponding to the max poit / limit at 12 o clock, that way a quick glance will get you the information without reading the numbers.
Redline, maxed out , is straight up and down.

On my stock factory turbo I have the waste gate basically deleted with all-thread in place of the actuator. Glowshift gauge shows 12 psi while accelerating with brief peaks just under 15 psi if I really get after it

Also its a garrett turbo and I have the gauge reading right from where the waste gate hose would have gone. Results may vary. I have the worst egt (highest) when the boost pipe blew apart. P.S. that scared the poop out of me when that went the first time LOL

Someone here is running an 093 "waste gate deleted " I don't know who but perhaps they'll see this and chime in.

I remember the non gated banks on my 88 7.3 c-6 410:1 could blow right past 14 with one of mel's junior i.p.'s first time I hit a big grade...
Boy was I surprised.
I'm going to say do 1 turn at a time on the actuator rod, till you get where you're going for boost .

I deleted the wastegate on my 093 setup. With a 90cc pump and stock injectors, I could get 16psi, with Justin's stage 1's I can push 18psi. EGT's climb easily, but are manageable. I am intercooled.
