I’ve had my high idle on a manual switch for a long time but I find myself not using it much because it will start off normal 950-1000 rpm and then over the course of 10 minutes work its way up to 2k by itself

Was wondering what the fix is or some things to go off here

Do you have to set the fast idle whether on manual or auto control? If you don't have to set it, maybe the vibrations from the engine make the plunger on the solenoid stick out farther while the solenoid has power?

Yes. I meant depress the throttle pedal.
Your engine doesn't do this when you're not using the fast idle, right? If not, that means that it has to be something connected to the fast idle solenoid or the timing advance. Maybe you should try to get in contact with one of the pump rebuilders and pick their brain. Other that that, I'm out of options.

It is the fast idle silinoid sorry if it was worded bad, but it’s just a problem when the high idle circuit is on

I would try it with the engine warmed up. See what the rpm is. If it's higher near 2k like you said, then the rpm climbing is just the oil and the engine warming up. I would activate it with the engine warm, and set the rpm you would like it to be. Then it should reach that when it warms up in the morning.
