Back in 98 when my Mom & Dad moved to Nevada from Ca.,
they sold the appliances with the old house, I told them to buy a Maytag.
That is when the Neptune was their new upscale water saving wonder.
Iam thinking the old dependable Maytags. Didn`t know they quit making
the old reliable machines.
She get the Neptune, and nothing but problems with it. Computer board
and some leaks. Had that thing replaced several times.
It was the water saver, front loader. Don`t know how it cleaned the close,
it flopped one direction a few turns then reversed direction etc,,,

I hear it was the Neptune that made Maytag go under. New one`s are made by
Whirlpool.

If you see one with the 2 Belts on the bottom, those are the good one`s.

I sure wish they still made ole fashion washing machines without computers! We got a computer controlled washer a year ago. It works fine but it goes thru a lot of pre washing cycles to make sure EVERYTHING is perfect. It keeps going back to HOT wash in every cycle and we have to keep setting it to COLD wash...

Just tap both hoses to the cold side and you'll always have cold washes

I have learned not to buy new washers and dryers; Find a rebuild appliance dealer who will most likely have the old style kenmore or maytag. Cheaper and work better no cleaning the machine after every 30 washes. JUST A SUGGESTION

I was going to drive over to my garage to pick up my fire wood equipment. As I started to drive out of the driveway, I decided to stop at the local car wash since there was enough bird crap on my windshield that I could barley see to drive the block to the car wash! After I started to drive away from the car wash, I noticed that my fuel pressure gauge read 0 so I finished driving around the block and pulled back into my driveway. I know for a fact that my Holley blue was working when I started the truck because I heard it running when I turned on the key. I didn't pay much attention to it on the way to the car wash since I had to concentrate on seeing out of the windshield. I do check if often while I'm driving though. Apparently it died while I was letting the engine warm up because it drove a little funny on the way to the car wash, but that really didn't sink in because I was going so slow. I do have a e pump for a Cummins here, but I'll have to wait until next week to put it on since it's going be cold all weekend long. As much as I hate them, those birds did save me some trouble this time. I do think that I'm going to cut down those three trees beside my driveway. The one time save isn't worth the hassle of this being the third winter of the mess on my truck. It has gotten worse each year too.

After a brief hiatus, I am going to try to get back into snowmobiling. I love the MidWest, but I do hate trailering in the winter, especially if you have nice stuff getting pelted with salt and debris on your trailer. This is particularly hazardous with a dually. I like the functionality of mudflaps, but I'm not a giant fan of drilling holes to mount them, so I decided to go the route of what the motorhome folks do to protect their "toads". I got a deal on these Rock Tamers and I am just mocking them up to check fitment. I'm going to move some stuff around to get them closer to the bumper, but I'm hoping this keeps the majority of the roadswiz off my sleds/trailer.

My wife really doesn't like the camper top on my truck as she says it looks so much better without it. I love the functionality/security/high roof/etc as I can keep anything in the back under safe/dry lock and key. Nonetheless, she says the campertop is hideous and I should remove it to improve the overall looks of my truck. When she came out and saw the Rock Tamers installed for the first time today her immediate feedback was "I didn't think anything could make your truck look worse than the campertop, but you did it: those flaps are actually even more hideous than the campertop." I told her as I have many times before, she didn't marry me for my youth or good looks: functionality is what makes a good husband

Stay tuned for functional reviews as soon as towing ensues. Again, I'm happy to be back in the Midwest 90% of the time, but I do miss the zero salt environment of the NorthWest. And the mountains. Oh well: ain't no perfect place.

I really like those dash lights. Question: does the dimmer feature still work with LED dashlights?

I avoided death and dismemberment while driving through Illinois during a snow storm this weekend. Ran up to Chicago to pick up another customer car and got caught up in a bit of snow in Central IL on Saturday. When did driving in falling snow with your flashers on become a thing? I spent 35 years of my life in either North Dakota or Northern Minnesota, I have seen plenty of snowy days, and NO one did this, ever. You just slowed down a bit and drove, no flashers. This is a completely asinine practice. Anyways, rant over. Springfield, IL seemed to get the worst of it, and there were still a ton of cars and trucks in the ditches when I came back through on Sunday. I am still not sure how I avoided collecting some schmuck driver or getting stuck in a miles long backup. The truck (and trailer) is completely covered in salt, I can hear it rusting from here so I am definitely going to have to spend a few rolls of quarters at the car wash this afternoon getting it cleaned up, or maybe just take the whole rig through the local truck wash. Get to do it all over again next weekend when we head up to Minnesota for the holidays and to deliver another car.

Saturday, drove to Salem to look at a travel trailer with my old man, he ended up purchasing it but we didn't take it home then.
Sunday, drove to Woodland, WA with my wheelchair bound idi enthusiast buddy, and he picked up a 1972ish travel trailer for a camping trip we have coming up soon.

Since it was supposed to be in the mid to high 50's I took the afternoon off to swap out my dead Holley blue for the Delphi 24v Cummins lift pump that I have on hand. Imagine my surprise when I found out that the threaded fittings in the Delphi weren't 1/4" NPT like I thought they were when I first opened the box and looked at the pump! From my quick exercise in Google Fu makes me think that they are M12x1.5 and Dodge used banjo bolts for the fuel lines into and out of the lift pumps.I asked at the mechanic's shop across the street from me to see if he had anything that might fit. Of course not. He doesn't have a 1/4" NPT tap. I do have one-15 miles away in my garage!So I found a place that sells M12x1.5 fittings with a 10mm barb quite a bit cheaper than McMaster-Carr which only seems to carry pipe thread to barb fittings. I ordered 5 since, I believe, the PSD lift pump that I ordered also uses that size of fittings. I paid just about as much for 1-2 day shipping as I did for the fittings, but that will be worth it and I'm desperate at this point.
GEE IT SURE WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF IDIBOBS WOULD HAVE GIVEN OUT HIS MAGICAL PART NUMBER FOR THE 50,000 MILE MECHANICAL LIFT PUMPS BEFORE HE LEFT!!!
