At this point, I don't think you have anything to lose by trying it.Yea that’s what I was thinking. I fixed the stuck valve and bad lifter, hopefully that with new head gasket brings my numbers up
If you can't get this engine running again, that's what I'd do.I bought the truck with the 7.3 in it and the original 6.9 that was running when taken out, so I could throw it back in there and try and rebuild the 7.3.

A worn IP can also cause too much fuel to go back through the return lines and cause the IP to run out of fuel, which will make it die. It may possibly even be a bad lift pump.Hot start issues can be the IP being worn out, but you need to get your compression figured out before condemning the IP. the numbers you have are way too low.
