When you go back will you get me about a truck bed full & you can ship it to me out here to Oregon thru AMAZON DISCOUNT......I'm sure we can get something worked out!!!
I've always liked Mobil Delvac 15-40oil, seems to do a good job. Somewhat hi Detergent Oil & seems to do the job.
It kinda reminds me of years ago back in the 70';s & early 80's when I was cross country semi truck driving, and us guys running Delo 400 vs running Delo 100 or 300.
Some of the guys that had & running say Cummings 250 or 350 or maybe a 238 or bigger Detroit engines usually ran Delo 100 or 300 & usually did fine.
Some other guys with bigger engines ran higher detergent Delo 400 oil.

Well here's where the joke starts...... Two of us owner-operators caught loads out of Pueblo, Col going to Stockton, Ca. Other hand had his truck serviced before the trip. He'd been running Delo 100 in his 350 Cummings, but decided to pay a little more & told them to use Delo 400 instead.
Well we got to talking & B S ing & decided to swap trucks for a few miles, I play around & drive his '75 Freightliner with 350 Cummings with a 10 speed, He drive my '72 longnose KW with the 425 Cat & 5x4 transmission.
Well we left Pueblo, Col together......all is good.......Drive on up into WY, outwest & across Wyo......all in good!........Drive to Rawlins, WY . There we swap back trucks, I got mine & he got his.
We head on west & chattering on CB about how fast my truck runs, how wonderful his truck is, etc etc. On west thru Salt Lake. Along about Salt Lake area other driver got to complaining thru CB that his oil pressure was/had dropped some. Got to asking me how I had driven his truck???? Etc, Etc, Etc....
I kept telling him I hadn't driven it any way wrong....I had lots experience driving & knowing how to drive a Cummings!!!!! I HADN"T DONE ANYTHING WRONG TO HIS TRUCK!!!!
Well we get over into Nevada that night & his oil pressure had dropped WAY WAY DOWN!!!
We finally found an old, REALLY OLD looking truck shop. WE talked it over so I left him there till opening time next morning......I headed on to Stockton, Ca.
About Mid Morning I call the truck shop & talked to that other driver.......Now He seems to be happy, not nasty & mean like he had been to me, accusing me of not driving his truck right egtc, & "burning it up."
Any way the head mechanic had asked him when pressure had dropped, when last oil change, what kind of oil. Driver told the mechanic everything, Mechanic thought a little bit, told him to crank the truck & let it run & warm up, then pull way off out there in the sage brush & drop the engine oil & put in new filter & new Delo 100 oil & see what happens.
Hal, the driver drove back up to shop & asked mechanic how that helped???? Mechanic told him that he had been running low detergent Delo 100 oil, but instead had serviced it with Hi Detergent Delo 40 oil. .......Told him there was nothing wrong with running Hi detergent oil, just do it all the time.
Told him that "you been running Delo 100 lo detergent oil already & your engine is built up with sludge & stuff! And when you changed to Delo Hi detergent 400 oil it ran great for miles & miles but was cutting & washing all that sludge build-up that's in your engine, & it's been plugging up the filter!!"

ANYWAY I NEVER FORGOT THAT LITTLE JOKE!!!
