I've only put a few hundred miles on my Walbro, but so far so good. I'm still using the old mechanical pump as a blockoff plate. Guess I should get a couple proper blockoff plates on the way...or just make'em from scrap.

I got one of these dual-3-way valves to replace my tank selector valve.

do you know if anyone has tried to run a fass fuel setup from there like the one form the 7.3 which produces about 55psi at 140GPH or the 3.0l power stroke which has a 110gph at 65psi

Without knowing for sure, I will make a guess. Since it's pre set at 8PSI, I don't think that you'd need a return between the pump and the engine. The Holley blue is rated at 110 gallons per hour (IIRC) and there's a version that doesn't require a return. I ran one for about a year without a return other than the one off of the top of the engine other than the pump giving up. After that, I don't recommend a Holley at all. I feel like they're ALL junk.

After going through 4 mechanical and 3 holly reds I put on a FASS fuel pump. It has been working great so far. 10k miles. My mechanical and holly reds were lucky to make it until my next oil change.

I also installed the 38gal tank with sump and that helped make the install easier with the return from the pump.

Wanted to give an update. I disassembled the holly red to see what is causing the issue. Mine would run good and then have intermittent pressure issues and finally start popping the fuse. I found a couple issues. First the shaft seal on the electric motor is allowing fuel to enter the motor. All 3 had diesel in them. The brushes on the commutator were already very worn down. So I do not think it would have lasted more than 10k even if it did not have fuel in it.

Too bad about the Holley Reds. Were they all purchased from the same source or multiple sources?
I'm not trying to revive a debate but for all its faults the Facet pump I put in an old truck was at about 70k when I sold it--if only the pressure and GPH were better.

All 3 holly reds were from different sources. One online, one from the local auto parts store and the last one from summit racing when I visited my son.

The fact that the faccett was designed to run continuously for days/weeks on end, is testament to the longevity
Now if they could keep up with the higher demands I'd still be using it...
Sad corporate chimerica is killing us slowly with this issue, but we asked for it....
Walbro being U.S.A. should be the new hotness ( hopefully)!
