I just wanted to warn everyone this hobby is highly addictive, I just woke up after another long night realizing I have another f250 on the truck with out a motor, a shop kept mystery 7.3/6.9 idi in my front yard. A running 4door long bed 7.3 ps in the back yard with the interior strpped and needing front axel rebuilt. A single cab lb 86 4speed 7.3 swapped turbo with absolutely nothing wrong and 2 plows. A 95 12v cummins auto extended cab lb 4wd. A 17ft car trailer. A 500gal fuel tank. An 89 parts idi I needed the zf5 for the ps. My high school 5.9 07 common rail still needs the injectors pulled and checked. A few rhd mail cars I need to fix. A home that dosnt need fixed because I have a 2 bed thats gutted for 3 years on a 20kba year income with a stay at home wife and two kids. And a 19' 89 bayliner that needs the motor bulked to fix the l drive. Be warned! You will buy projects and not sell because each truck you drive will be for favorite! Please tell me im not alone, I have a problem.

Some people have 1 car and it runs. Others have 4-5 vehicles, all in various states of project maybe 1 barely on the road.
Since I exclusively drive old vehicles, I maintain 3 running vehicles that are tagged. That way IF one goes down the wife and I have a vehicle. My plan is to have 5 running vehicles at some point........ they're all here....... each one is my favorite, except K.I.T.T., I just can't get down that low.

This is so me - I have a grand prix with 310K miles - a very good car still. A silverado that is more important (crew cab for hauling kids and my camper), which just went down and I had to fix the tranny (took me a week). And the ole' possum truck, which started as a fun project and is now my DD. Back to three vehicles and glad to have the options in my hooptie fleet, lol. Rarely an interruption of service for the family.

That sounds amazing, ever have a Sunday night when you scramble to figure out which one you need to fix so you have one to drive to work in the morning. My problem is I buy another instead of fixing the ones I have. :/ I feel better knowing I'm not the only one.

Not that 2 being down at the same time is impossible, but it's so if one goes down we still got two. They're not clunkers, sleepers maybe, but not clunkers.

I remember back around 1975, I had 2 International Harvester trucks, a 64 C1000 step side PU, and a 1967 1 1/2 ton B1500 14K GVW.
I was hauling Alfalfa from Tracy, Ca. to Santa Cruz, Ca.
We get the load stacked in some guys barn and back home round midnight. The Water pump was puking water on the trip home.
Here I am in the middle of the night pulling the WP off the 64 to put on the 67 so we could roll at 5am for another load.

One of those weekends, we hauled 20 tons of hay on that little truck according to the weight tickets. Use to haul 66 3 wire bales as I remember.....and 6 rows high.

One weekend I decide to take the Horse Trailer for a bigger haul. 15 bales in it.
Coming home there is this thump...thump... from one of the tires, stopped several times , but never saw which tire it was.
Zoomin through SJ on Hwy 17 there is this lout BOOM, lost all the rubber on the R/R out side dual. I mean it is like no rubber, just the cord and was holding air....and no spare.
We make it up the long grinding climb up 17 to Summit INN for coffee. Come out and discover the inside Dual on the other side is flat.

So Left out side and right inside hold air...great... we made it down the other side and home...don`t know how....
Those were 7.50X17" tires, 5 hole Budd wheels, can`t find those anymore.

Still have the IH, parked since 79 when the Pinion bearing went out....and 5 of those tires hold air....though not in the best of shape.
