Work for this morning included, but was not limited to, installing an old metal toolbox behind the seat (if you can call it a seat. More like a very worn, solid oak pew with spikes) Said box containing, but not limited to, 2x50' rolls of 12 gauge wire, various connectors and switches, a bespoke remote starter switch and some alligator clips.

Also an old craftsman multi-tool set in the same bracket and have stashed a 3000 watt inverter with 2 gauge cable behind the pew. Clamped an old water tight engine crate in the front of the box with a 2 cycle generator and a 6 gallon air compressor while I expedite putting a new motor in the beat up old Lincoln 305g welder/genset I scored and start earnestly seeking a 60 gallon compressor and a couple sheets of 3/16" 6061 aluminum diamond plate to make a half-cap. All to be completed in the next week, Inshallah!

My guess is I'll also be experiencing substantial mission creep, but hope to delay the worst until spring breakup. At least I'll be able to start it when 50 clicks in the bush. No mini bar in place, yet.

Stinky 2 stroke but it goes like the clappers! Turned out I forgot to tourque the rear lugs and a wheel fell off about 20kms beyond the pale, which forced me to ponder my existence a little. But it ran back to ugly truck without fuss after frozen finger tightening.

Will need a whole new set of studs and some rim reconditioning, but who said life was easy?

But I'm learning a honda is just as good.
I'm a pretty dedicated Honda man myself. I do like the Kawasakis that I have though. I feel that they are just as reliable as a Honda. My biggest complaint about Polaris (and Arctic Cat, etc.) is the single brake lever. I want too be able to work the front and rear brakes separately. When you use the hand brake, it's useless to use the foot brake like I see so many people do. The hand brake works all three brakes.

Sad Day last week. sold the '86 because trucks are so high in my area, and I don't have a good place to store it for the winter.

I'm on the hunt for a decent 4x4 at some point down the road, but in the meantime, my IDI love stays with the motorhome.

I'm a total Honda Guy. My fun machine is a 00 400EX, and I just picked up a '95 Fourtrax 300FW for plow duties this winter.

Pics as promised. This is also proof that even 6'5'' tall people need a boost to work on these (and this is a 2wd truck!)

The shop foreman was giving advice on line removal.

If I was to buy a newer sport quad, it would probably be a 400EX. There's plenty of parts to make more power with them. They will do anything that I would probably want to do these days. They're also usually cheaper to buy than a 450.
