Well... Not my best work, but it should hold up just fine. Looks like it flowed around the whole thing. Thanks @Selahdoor for the suggestion!

I also noticed the other day that the grommet was leaking around the check valve on the brake booster.

Like $14, cheap insurance.

Ok well... I'm confused now. I can only think maybe the new cap is leaking somehow? The solder does look good so?? There shouldn't be any real pressure on the overflow anyway.

Well today I pulled out the passenger side window motor. Tore it apart and cleaned it up. Pretty sure it got water in it at some point. Packed it with silicone grease and replaced the busted nylon bushings with hex nuts because that's all I had. When I put it back together it was working backwards??? Switched the power wires around so it works right. Score 1!

Then I replaced the busted hood release cable with one I snagged from the 94 I parted out. Score 2!

Got looking at that radiator cap. It quickly escalated into me removing the filler completely from the radiator and resoldering it completely. I'm just hoping I did it well enough to seal. I'll find out tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Well this morning while I was making lunch I let the truck idle to get up to temp. I'm too much of a pessimist to be happy, but I'm cautiously optimistic. Radiator was warm and coolant was at normal level on the gauge.

No coolant on top of the radiator! We'll see how it holds up!

Drove it to town to grab gas for the lawnmower. Still appears to be holding. Fingers crossed I'll wipe it all down and paint it later this week.

I regret not taking any good before pictures, but the dent in the side of the bed was driving me crazy. Here's a couple crappy pictures I cropped down to give you an idea of what it looked like before.

After a little work with the porta-power and a rubber mallet I think it turned out pretty good! Definitely could use some finish work but it's 90% better looking in my opinion.

I would have hit it with some paint quickly, but it's supposed to rain soon.

Way better than my quick attempt with a chunk of 2x4! I think I might have a picture from when the old lady hit me it was very caved in, I'll see if I can dig it up...

Well after driving it all week it's still holding. I know what happened, but I wasn't sure until now. When I first tried to solder the hose barb on I got the fill neck a little too hot and melted some of the existing solder. When the truck got hot, it leaked, contaminating the solder joint so I had to completely remove it and re-flux it so the solder would seal properly.

I sprayed it with some rustoleum and I'm checking that off the list!

Went to put my new/old mirror on and of course the little metal piece came off the window. I'm still blaming that on @Selahdoor for jinxing me, but at least I have a good thread to reference now LOL

So I ran the wires for the time being. I have to get a fuse tap tomorrow. It's an auto dimming mirror with a compass. I'll post pictures when I get it done.

Glad you got the radiator sorted out!
The mirror sounds cool
Too bad the cap doesn't have any windows...

Actually pulled the cap off a couple days ago because of the visibility issue. I had completely removed the mirror, but now that I have an unobstructed rear window I'm putting it back.

Didn't you say there's a hole in the bed somewhere? Peeking underneath I didn't see it, but I haven't removed the liner yet to look. I did see the rust hole in the front bed support rail I'll have to patch soon.
