So then why not use both during the winter? The TCW3 for lubrication and the Howe's for antigel. I usually use Power Service for antigel, but that's because a guy gave me a couple of gallons a while back. I have some Howe's in the bed right now (easy access for use while fueling up) because I was in Menard's a few weeks back and they had some on the shelf. It was about 15*, the north wind was blowing pretty hard (20MPH+), and my Power Service was at home. I bought some Howe's just in case. Honestly, I rarely even put anything in my tank for antigel. If it's supposed to get below about 5*, then I will. Otherwise, the stuff that comes out of the pump is good enough for me. FYI I run Optilube Summertime blend for lubrication. I put both Howe's and Optilube in my tank while filling up before heading home.
Problem I was having was the 2 stroke oil was making the truck hard to start. Even with howes and 2 stroke oil it was temperamental. That was running at 1 ounce per gallon of two stroke oil.
