Banks egt gauge

Mines a non turbo unfortunately. Has the banks power pack not the sidewinder. Only places chips could get stuck is mayby the glass pack.

Well got in contact with banks and found some free time when it was pouring lol. Yea gauge works. Told me to use a multimeter on ohms to see if the gauge moves and it does.

So will something like the above ebay probe work for me?

I forget the formula for resistance and wire length but the probes are rated at "x" as are the gauges, hunt down that info before you buy.
Or ask banks for the specs

The sensor should be a K-type thermocouple. It's what's used in almost all EGT probes.
The length of the wires doesn't matter, really; what matters is that any junctions in the wires use the same metal(each wire of the thermocouple is a different alloy; you must keep the same alloy on each wire from end to end, without dis-similar metals touching each other).
