    A face only a mother could love

    Finishing off the work for a heavy towing roadtrip, I installed a 56 Ford F-100 V-8 badge. Maybe I shoulda repainted the hood, but it's only a truck. I did do a test haul with about 5 tons behind it, the fuel system rebuild eliminating all air leaks definately improved power.

    Brake job from heck

    . Both slider lock bolts busted off, so i drilled asd tapped them, and while I was getting new cone bolts the pup scattered my hardware and hand tools over 1/4 acre. Found everything but one lug nut. I have done worse, at least the hydralics were not leaking. Hope she didn't swallow it

    I pulled my bed off today, (1985 6.9 ) to rebuild the fuel system. Shower heads are in pieces. The fuel senders have bad boards.     Spray foam fuel sealant?

    I had a guy tell me he had a leaky diesel fuel switchover valve and just coated it with expanding polyurethane foam. I can see the material being diesel-proof, but if it didn't work, what a mess to fix!

    tach problems

    85 6.9. The tach doesn't move until it revs up around 2000 RPM. Is the sensor usually the problem? Does it get "fuzzy" like an ABS sensor and work after cleaning? Is that it on the timing cover?
