My U-haul pump should arrive tomorrow. Am I correct that spring #1 in this pic is the governor spring?

that is a governor spring, but the one that sets top rpm is #2 in your picture.

So #2 is the one to change out then. Isn't the rod it is on an adjustable main jet? Does the whole unit remove and replace without changing the settings?

The U-haul pump redlines at about 3400 RPM. I'm not gonna mess with that.

I bought one of these pumps also, and mine is another 2700 rpm pump... what is it with me getting these damn low rpm pumps. I hate the way my truck runs and I don't have enough time to fix it.
