Deffinatly a conversion w a TTB font axle. And why put closed front center caps on? Now you cant get it in 4wd

Maybe it's the other way around and he leaves the hubs locked? Although it seems to me that would put more wear on the front drivetrain than is needed, not to mention taking a hit on fuel economy.
Call me crazy, but I like how that truck sits...it looks like a stock 2 wheel drive, but you still have the ability to use 4 wheel drive in the snow or such. With that said, I wonder how the camber is, and I wonder how much clearance there is to the bump stops? Or did they convert it with a coil spring setup?

if the simulators are like mine,the front center caps pop in and out with just a flat head screw driver.
i left mine out.but it's not a real big issue.especially to put them in for some pics,or even if you don;t use 4wd often.it;s just a few extra secs to pop them in/out.not something to do with a dd work truck,as id likely lose 'em.but for the average 4wd truck during at least good weather,i could see taking the extra few secs to put em in.
not very good pics.but it does look like he got the wrong simulators.they look like 2wd ones,totally solid don't they.easy enough fix.hop on ebay and get the correct 4wd fronts.

do some of you guys think he didn't start with a 4wd srw f250 (like i did?) if so why? and what appears to be wrong with the front end?

The ad title also says F250. Which would also explain the TTB front, instead of the monobeam the truck should have had were it a real 1-ton dually. I'm thinking is a conversion like FORDF250HDXLT did, only with a dually pickup bed instead of the dumper or flattie.

Correct. Obviously it's a 250 with duals. If it's not solid axle front end, it has no right being a dually.

Hey now, that's what I'll be using when I get around to converting my dually to 4x4 - D60s are nice and all, but I ain't got the budget for one, nor do I have the need for it over a D50.

well the thing is,the f350's sit so dang high due to the D60.this means its harder to load the bed.
so far my axle just go along for the ride,and making 4wd work.
im not a trail rider/mudder,need a lift,or heavy duty plowing-really working the front end.
so far so good.
kinda thinking about a plow though.ahh well,if she doesn't take it,a d60 can go right in.i just really like the lower and smoother ride of the ttb over the solid axle.id hate so much to need a d60,unless there's a way to keep 'em low,and still function to hold a plow-which is doubtful probably.

I've seen a few dually F250's only one of which was marked as a conversion (arrow) heck, there's a brick nose and a slant nose F250 dually in the scrap yard right now, 1 is 6.9 2wd and the other is 7.3 TTB 4x4. And yes there is a problem besides it's a TTB, look at the pass side tire, the outside is worn.
