I like my old tough as old boots and hard as nails T19. Like the engine, it's a workhorse!

Yes, putting a computer controlled trans behind a mechanical diesel just isnt right. Kinda like the p pumped 12v with an auto, pretty much ruins a could be very good truck. IMO of course.

Filling any trans with mud because of deep muddy pits is something I could never do to a trans. Now I can watch it but just can't do it...

Our trucks were meant to have an overdrive. We do not have the power band to get away with 3 gears,( granny 1st doesn't count) and no OD. There is no way you can be effective around town and out on the interstates without the OD. Heck, Gary and RLDSL have 8 and 15 speeds and that is the direction I want to go. If I had 3:55's, I would consider a T19 WITH a Gearvendors or Brownie behind it. I was even impressed with Darrin's C6/GV combo this summer at the rally, but once again, an OD provision is there for the highway runs.

I am not a fan of slush boxes but I would keep a good E4OD right in its place if it had no issues. Now if the E4DOA pukes its guts out and the T19 is right there staring at you saying "Look at me, look at me, I'm still good." then game on.LOL

If you really want 3.55's goose i can hook you up

Yeah, I saw your posts in the market place. I wish I had the opportunity to get some stuff off of you. Just like everyone else, no loot in my pocket. I would go the other way though, 4:56's if I could. That and a GV would get me through the mountains a little better than last year.:sly

I like the way the t19 feels over the e40d. I have a zf currently inmy f250 and love it.
My 91 w350 4x4 has a 727 with no od and cruises 75 no problem with 3.08s and 35s. I plan to put a gearvendors on it at some point to lower the rpms a bit more.
