Actually, probably not really any faster. He's got 3.55 rear and teh engine isn't going to go over 3000-3500 rpm very often, while a tire on a decently hot car running at about 140-160mph is probably going to be spinning somewhere in the same neighborhood and stick on weights are the preferred method of attachment for most modern alloy wheels, so
