I'm going to hold off on this truck for now I found a different one closer to me. This one was purchased in canada about 10 years ago and was used as a plow truck until the front end went to hell. I'll be going to look at it this Saturday, unfortunately the owner said he uses either to get it started. -cuss

Went and looked at the second truck today, the engine definitely looks great still covered in gray paint. It was too cold to mess around trying to put in batteries and start it so I'm going to go back on a nice day to here it run. The block number has me confused though being two lines, I want to know if it has bolt on oil squirters, and the thicker casting around the block heater?
The number is as follows, it came from canada if that matters.

All I can tell from that number is that it's a 6.9. Door tag should have the Mfg. Date.

The truck is an 84 but he motor was swapped in ~10 years ago. The owner told me he paid $2000 for it back then so I'm assuming it was a crate motor.
