Worst that I've gotten was 14.5 with my 92, was leaking more fuel than it was burning and my speedo still bounces if I go over 70. Apparently holding it at the governor for over an hour in od messes with the PSOM, and yes I know I'm an idiot.

It's all uphill from Vegas to Cedar City, that must have been fun. :sly

anytime my F450 carrier had a tall open structure load on the deck, the mileage would immediately head south of 10mpg.:backoff:backoff:puke:

I get 10 I'm my 88 (c6 4.10) empty. When the injector lines broke it dropped very quick. Not sure what it got but I had it to the governor most of the way home.

diesels only? my uncles 460 79 bronco gets 4-5 empty. but it's also putting out about 450 hp. that was on 38" claws, might be better now that he dropped to 36" tsls

my idi gets about 13-14 empty. i know if i turned down the fuel some it'd be better but I dont wanna risk losing hp.

Worst was towing a '70s model 28ft camper to NC. Dont know the wieght but that thing was a brick going down the interstate. At 70-75mph most of the way I averaged right around 10mpg.

Unloaded or with a light load (2k or less lbs payload or 6k or less lbs towing) I can get 15+mpg.

Around 10 pulling I think, I don't keep track very often. Running wmo pretty much all the time, makes it so I just don't care :D

The worst I've seen was 11 in town in my '90... That was with quite a bit of idling though. It usually gets 15-17. And I hear ya about that wind! I'm from the black hills, and in the extended E-350 I was driving for work I just about got blown over!

The worst I got was about 10MPG before the injection overhaul. After that, and setting the timing, I have seen 21.5MPG on the highway unloaded. I haven't been able to get that again but it happened. I usually get 14-16 mixed driving, unloaded. 16-18+ highway. About 16MPG highway with a 6x12 cargo trailer over 4000 miles half of which being full of heavy tools and furniture.

The truck... 10mpg with an IP weeping fuel and both IP and injectors having 175k miles. now I get 15

the old boat... a 47' Atlantic with twin DD 671Ts. 25 gallons an hour going 12 knots. The old detroit. least efficient at mileage but most efficient at converting diesel into noise (or music)
