Just sold my bronco, so naturally I need more things to take up time and money

http://tucson.craigslist.org/pts/3158832899.html

Not knowing anything about turbos, all the IDIs i've ever driven have been N/A.

Does this look like a factory setup? the gauge looks like it says hypermax, not having seen many turbos cant tell if its wastegated or non wastegated.

anyone know anything about this turbo pictured?

it's a Hypermax kit. you going to want to know what trans those uppipes are for. looks like it's missing the oil feed line for the turbo and the elbow on the valve cover for the CDR.

That's a hypermax turbo. Non gated.
I THINK that's there newer pulse system too.
Not sure why they have the exhaust manifolds there but extras are always nice...

Hm guess ill call and ask about the turbo feed line and that trans the pipes are for. Is this a kit you can get new bearings and seals for? Or is it obsolete? doesnt seem like a screaming deal but could be worth picking up

450 is more than I wanna play theres not alot of people looking to buy that turbo out where we live so I would say that it could be had for alot less.

The exhaust manifolds are not needed because all idi truck engines have the same manifolds. So if a person was to ship this I would tell the seller to keep the exhaust manifolds. Russ can rebuild most any turbo. Parts are generally thought to be easy to find and not expensive. Price is fair concidering what you get. Most turbo deals never come with the pipes.

Right on, im about 30 mins away from this guy so shipping wouldn't be a problem. Maybe ill call him and see if hell go for like 300. I would probably buy it and rebuilt it myself if I could get the parts, wouldn't really financial make sense to me to ship it somewhere to have it built then get it shipped back.

A good price even if the turbo is toast. The up pipes alone are worth that. Someone should scoop that up. I would, but the shipping would kill me.

See i cant tell what is a good price for the turbo and what isnt. since I have a N/A and live 30 mins away I should probably take the bait! Ill call him tonight. Just gotta get the model number or whatever and see if rebuild kits are available.
