Windshield Wipers Not Working

Hello everyone! I am new I recently got a 1985 F250 6.9idi, t-19 4speed, 4x4, regular cab and the windshield wipers do not work the guy I bought it from said that he thinks I need to replace the switch does this sound right or should I be looking elsewhere?

Yes it does have a delay. Do you know what might be wrong?

The delay box for these is mounted in the area of the emergency/parking brake pedal. When you release the brake and the pedal bangs on the stop, it sends vibrations through the delay box, which over time causes the solder joints to break. Others have been able to open up the box, and repair the solder.

For the time being, you may want to hunt a box down in a P-N-P. I think you can unplug the box, and plug the 2 plugs from the box together, and you will have high/low/off......
