Hey so i just got a 7.3 and thought it was a good idea to put a little atf in the fuel (type f). I did an oil change at the same time.. i drove for about 8 miles and the oil is already black and i took the oil cap off and it had quite a bit of white smoke.. I got scammed right? Or is it cuz the atf?

I'd say neither. This is blowby gasses. It's pretty normal for these engines. The rings have large gaps in them so they let a lot of combustion gasses go past them. As for the glow plugs, they aren't working, but without doing some testing, you can't be sure if it's them, a controller, or maybe even a broken wire.
