Where to mount cb

That front lip is a good option for holding since most items pretty much get mounted in that area anyway IMO.

wow guys thanks for all the input. and no i do not have an external speaker for this truck. I was thinking about getting one but not until after i mount the cb. I think im gonna put it either on th dash or the roof. then mount an external on th edriver side pillar. Midnight Rider. what kind of screws did you use?

Inch long, pan-head, #10 or #12 sheet-metal screws; nothing special.

I put flat-washers on the screws to spread the load.

If you drill plumb through to daylight, this conversation didn't happen. LOL

Put the radio someplace where the heat won't mess it up....mounting on a sub box is also a bad idea, the "boom-boom" can rattle things loose and cause cold-solder joints. If you need your radio worked on but don't know any local shops that know what they're talking about, try RAR (Radioactive Radio) or Sparky's CB shack...both of which are online. The have a mail-order repair service and both are excellent places along with GI Joe's. Need to have patience though....it'll be a few weeks. It's always better to have a reputable shop do the work rather than some hack.
