I'm looking for new fender liners, but everything I find is for gassers.

The original diesel part #'s are:

E7TZ-16054-B Right
E7TZ-16055-B Left

They have long since been discontinued of course.

The ones LMC have state for gas only.

The ones from NPD state "MODIFY FOR DIESELS".

Anyone have any experience with the NPD ones and what the modification entail?

Or better yet, some aftermarket liners that are diesel specific that don't have to be modified?

Here are my current ones:

The passenger side one (top) is somewhat crushed and they are both pretty nasty looking.

I suppose I can try cleaning them up and see if I can pull out the one that's deformed, but my preference would be a pair of fresh ones.

Thanks!

Mine were like that. All that is, is a Fiberglass covering
for sound proofing. I ripped all that off and under it is your plastic inner Fender.
You are right, is some nasty looking stuff.
Mine would still be like that, but I removed mine along with the front wheel to get access to the forward bolts on the Oil Cooler.

I removed the sound proofing (just roughly for now) and am left with this:

They will clean up nicely given enough time, but the rips and crumpled areas concern me. Given all the time I'm putting into the engine and other things, I would prefer new liners. I suppose I could try to add some re-enforcements to salvage these...

I called NPD, but they couldn't tell me anything about the liners and what "modify for diesel" entails. He was able to tell me they got them from Autocraft Material Recovery out of Oklahoma. Looked them up online and don't see a website but tried calling the number they listed. Went straight to a full mailbox.

Getting parts for the old trucks seems like a real challenge.

Heat gun helped a lot!

I then tried to test fit it only to discover it was all mangled up where it meets the fender arch. And I tried to fix that side with the heat gun as well, but it started ripping when I tried to bring it back into shape (there was already a white stress line in the plastic).

Since I was already planning on getting new battery trays from NPD, I decided to roll the dice and add a left and right liner to my order so that I qualified for free shipping.

I figured the fenders and front are the same regardless of it being a gas or diesel engine. My hope is that I just need to drill some holes to accommodate the accessories that mounts in the fenders for a diesel vs. a gasser.

The part numbers even sort of matches OEM:

Ford: E7TZ-16054-B/E7TZ-16055-B
NPD: F-16054-4R/F-16055-4R

Will let you guys know how it turns out.

I converted my dads crew cab from a 460 to an idi, only difference I recall was the insulation and the pre-drilled holes. I just drilled new ones and bolted all the stuff over.
