Anyone know a good place to get a radiator for a 90 F350 that won't break the bank?
Ordered mine from Champion Radiators in LA it was 235.00 with shipping. Should be here this week!! Crossing my fingers the bad one does not blow until then!
These sell on ebay, they come with an excellent warranty; I found them just a few months ago and bought one. I just got my truck put back together and have been using one for about a month, zero complaints so far.
This is your aluminum one correct?correct Does it seem noticeably cooler?hell no haha
I have overheated the coolant twice so far but they have both been in extreme conditions when slowing down woulda prevented it but I was in "test" mode which for a 24 year old means pushing things a little to far most of the time.
The conditions were:
3200' elevation, around 30% humidity, 100+ temps in Lubbock TX pulling a heavy ass 20' bumper pull trailer loaded down with all my household possessions pulling hills at 75 with the A/C going, I have a water to air intercooler with 2 10" fans pushing and 2 14" fans pulling air that were going full tilt, 50/50 antifreeze and water.
Think that pretty much covers it.![]()

A brass and copper radiator will cool better then an aluminum one. The only reason manufactures went to aluminum is $$$$$$
False, take 2 same sized blocks of metal... one aluminum one copper... heat them to the same temperature. Now monitor temperatures as they cool... one probe in contact with the metal, one a half inch above it's surface, note what happens... The copper block will stay hotter, longer with lower free air temps. The aluminum will cool faster with higher free air temps... because the copper, being higher mass, will retain heat longer.
Because of it's higher thermal conductivity copper soaks up more heat more quickly, but because of it's higher mass it's going to STAY hot. Aluminum isn't as good a heat absorber but, because of it's lower mass, it releases or dissipates the heat more quickly enabling it to be a better material for radiators to be made out of.
