Putting the '94 7.3 idiT engine back together and I pulled this hollow plug out of the plastic bag of miscellaneous.
It can screw it, question is, is it supposed to?

Sure hope the wife goes to town so I can run the intake into the shower and rinse it out.

That goes through your valley pan after it's installed into that hole there.

Uh.. .oops? It wasn't like that when I took it apart. Speaking of which, I didn't put it together last time and that hole just opens up to the top of the bell housing.
Makes sense. Thank you.
Onto the next challenge. I still have to get to the other valve cover mod.

I read that the Valley pan drain plug is NLA.
I grab them when I see a 6.9 or 7.3 in the yards.

Suck when putting things together and then the...

Or the rain the comes and washes sharpie off the labeled bags of bolts. Then floods the bags making it all utterly useless. Last night wasn't fun.

I cleaned the intake with break cleaner it makes quick work by jetting it in.
