Does anyone know where I can find out how much my truck sold for new? My insurance company wants it for some reason. Who the hell even knows this on a 21 year old truck? Or if anyone could give me a close enough estimate to be reasonable, that'd work too.

1986 Ford F-350
6.9 International
T19 4 speed
2WD
Dually
Utility Box
Power Steering
Power Brakes
no other options.

Thanks for the help.

In colorado, you can find the original MSRP right on the title - I don't know if it is like that in all states.

I saw that too! This, of course, is a mistake. Ha, ha. For mine it adds a value of $2300 for the diesel, about fair, I think. The older the truck is, the harder it is to evaluate the "book" value because of the reduced statistics of actual sales and the wide variation of the condition. The $13k new price also does not count the diesel.

Probably they want to depreciate it 21 years down to nothing!
Tell them it cost $48,000 in 2007 dollars.:D
