After my starter issues I've decided to replace my battery cables "just because" and I've found about 10 different websites with reputable reviews. Just wondered if there was a common go to anyone has used before and would recommend more then something else.
I don't even think mine are bad, but with the replacement starter having been deemed defective and dying out after a month, I figured now that I have another good one in place I might as well swap the cables just to know it's done right as batteries are also new.
I also have a tentative idea to put dual batteries in the F250 with the 300 straight six if I can find a place to put it. Possibly shove the radiator overflow and windshield fluid container up towards the cab or something and re-use the old wire from Ernest if the new wire doesn't seem to be any different.
If anyone has added a second battery to a straight six before I'd love to here how you did it. It's my freezing cold bad winter weather vehicle and with all the lights on it and the conditions it drives in, it can't hurt to have a second in there.
