I have a 1993 350 7.3 idi. I have bought new alternator, new battery, new battery cables, starter solenoid and my battery kept dying and won’t stay charged. I have to either let them charge or jump them every time I want to go anywhere and I’m just confused at what it could be. Anyone have any idea?

Did you buy one new battery or two? I'm not sure from how you worded your post. If you only bought one new battery the other one could be the problem.

It kind of sounds like you may have a parasitic draw. How was the truck before you installed the new parts? You might consider adding some quick disconnects to the batteries just to make the truck less of a hassle.

Bought 2 new ones the truck has been sitting for 4 years before I had put the new ones in it. I had also went and tested the alternator and it’s fine. My glow plug relay does click from time to time like it’s shorting out but only does that when running so wouldn’t explain why it looses power

How's the charge wire that comes off of the alternator? If it's like the older ones, it's a fusible link. It may be bad. I had one that was burned internally, but the insulation looked fine. It took me a while to figure out why the alternator wasn't charging.

If your charge wire is suspect it's easy to replace or switch to a Mega-Fuse.

Have you checked what the overnight voltage drop is? As in, turn of the truck at the end of your day, check the battery voltage, and then check it again first thing in the morning.

I cannot speak to the 93 alternator operation. My 91 does not have an internal regulator, separate device mounted on the top of the right fender. Im on my third one. The newer ones are electronic, old were mechanical.
