Just checked about 20 timken bearings on the shelves. All stamped USA on cup or cone. One thing to watch out for is TIMKEN has import bearings, but the part number has -imp on the end.
IMP is not on any boxes or bearings. However one race is stamped, "Made in Brazil"

Your part store might be using walmart tactics. Carquest did sell heli-coils that were made in China, even though US made ones are available. All they care about was the name brand and how cheap they could buy it.

This ^^^ They may well be knock offs... I have yet to see a Timken bearing that isn't stamped USA. I work for a heavy truck dealer and that's all we use :dunno
