After the WTS light went out, she started but was un-normally rough. I watched the plugs cycle while running rough and the idle settled at 750. It just seemed rough and I don't think air in fuel should be an issue here.

Got to go and fight for that last snowblower!

i just adjust the cold idle solenoid so that when it's off it just touches the linkage and then when it kicks on you get the maximum high idle the solenoid will allow. usually around 900 rpm or so. the plunger has a little hex head on it you just thread in and out.

I was wondering this myself. My truck starts great but when its below 0 and it's not plugged in (like after work) its kinda rough for a few seconds. I was thinkin about 1200rpm for a faster warm up. Or I could just deal with it...cookoo

1200 would be nice but you're limited by the travel of the high idle solenoid. crank it out too far and low idle is effected. it varies but i've yet to see one that would idle up that high with the stock setup.
