Try a bathroom scale.
That works good for freight shipping you can use 2 with a board or 4 with a pallet too if needed, just add all of the weights together.
Don't forget the pallet weight too if yer shipping it on a skid.
If you have to guess on weight...guess a little on the high side. Many of these freight companies have scales built into the fork lifts and you WILL get charged if you tell them it's less than it is and they check it......Found out the hard way when I shipped what I thought was a 1500 lb tractor that scaled at over 1800 lbs.....OOPS
