well the temp here has been in the low 30's, and the truck has been a little on the (i dont want to wakeup side). it will fire up on the first cycle of the gp's (and yes all are good) but doesnt run on all the cylenders. it takes several seconds of rough running and the nice smell of raw diesel and lots of smoke before it straightens up. i think i have several injectors that are dripping diesel instead of spraying it, and i do here a slight knock in the engine and also in the exhaust. what is yalls opinion on this matter?

Probably injectors and possibly the pump if it has allot of miles on it. I usually replace both at the same time when I think the injectors are going.

yes thats what i was thinking also. i would love to replace everything in one shot but dont have all the funds to do it. was planning to change the injectors first and then move on to the ip soon after. my other truck i bought a set of remans from diesel care and dont think there pop off pressure is to specs. this time i think im going to buy new ones and get them from pennsacola diesel, there a little closer to me.

Yea... uhem... read my opinion on good ol Bill in the hall of shame.
I've had good luck with both pennsacola and midwest fuel injection.

Do the injectors, you should get through the winter noticeably better, and then when you get funds, go MOOSE PUMP! HEHEHE

yes im going to replace injectors first, and hopefully it will help out on the fuel mileage also. i just set my timing with my snap-on mt1480 and power is better but fuel is not where i would like it, but that could be the injectors.
