Weird problem

On my toy rig my 94 powerstroke !!

Ok guys I experienced a wierd problem. /Tonight while driving home I was driving a little agressive jamming to the music not really paying attention to the tach.Well stopped at a light went to take off again I had no power only reved in gear to like 1000 rpm out of gear seemed to rev fine .Anyways drove it like this approx 1/4 mile then poppedd it in nuetral turned engine off restarted engine and seemed to run fine. Is there a rev limiter that i might have hit ??

What tranny do you have in the 72 fastback?

Sounds like something electrical, maybe cps, can you check for codes?

I guess i can never tried it on a diesel before ..check engine light not on

I would guess APPS (accelerator pedal position sensor), but check codes with a QUALITY scanner, the ones at AZ or Advanced arn't compatiable with rigs like ours. They may hook up and read nothings wrong, where a good scanner will tell you the problem.

You could have a soft code that wont set off the CEL, but still causes a driveability problem.

Hmmmm..... Although it could be CPS too.
