I finally completed the water pump replacement. I bought a pump from ford for $100 and that seemed pretty fair. there were two new bolts that were supplied and I did put silicone on the top two and bottom two, so there shouldn't be any leaks. I did notice a few differences between the two pumps mainly that the old one had a cast impeller and the ford pump was stamped metal. there was some movement in the shaft on the old pump and it did grumble some when I spun it by hand.
