Thought you might like to see some vintage Banks material, the top one from '86 (the first gen unit) and the others from 1990 (second gen with the revised airbox). Both are pre-Sidewinder and were non-wastegated turbos. PS- That applies to the Ford. The GM unit started as a Sidewinder and likely inspired the later Ford application.

I have the installation manual, in pdf format, for that old Banks turbo. I've sent it to a number of members here, whoever has asked.

Good for you! I still have mine as well from when I installed it in '87. Really primitive compared with the install instructions I got for a late '90s Sidewinder kit for my old 6.2L Blazer.
