@u2slow thanks for the info. I’ll listen next time for whine.

My van is a 1-piece driveshaft.

Tires are not perfect, but they are matched and road force balanced. Night and day difference.

The vibration is way to high of frequency to be tires. Most would not notice it. But I did.

I’m not gonna worry about it, other things to do first. Plus I gotta leave a chance for Murphy to step in and slap me upside the head!

@u2slow i listened for whine yesterday. I can distinctly hear it at 46-47 mph in my left ear only. As I lean towards the center of the vehicle it goes away. Most noticeable in OD, but could hear it in D as well.

Would this be something in the axle on the LH Side? Or just simple mechanical and vehicle harmonics joining forces at that speed....?

It’s low on my worry-scale......

Sounds bounce and travel around too much for proper locating, IME.

Last time i had drivetrain noise/vibration I thought I had a transfer case bearing issue, it was pinion bearings instead. Proved it out by pulling the rear driveshaft and doing front drive only, on jackstands.

Granted, that troubleshooting trick won't work so good on a 2wd van.
