Hey do you need to jack up the truck to pull the driveshaft like the Haynes manual says? I'd rather leave it on the ground if that is a possibility. Thanks a lot,

If on jackstands and in neutral you can rotate the driveshaft to make it easier to get to bolts. But you don't have to, I don't.

leave it on the ground, and rent a ball joing/ u joint press kit from advance if you dont already have one. i replaced my 3 joints and had the truck driving in like 1 hour! its worth the $144 and you get back every penny if you return it within 90 days.

Like said above, no need to jack it up, just block the tires! And a u-joint/balljoint press will make things alot easier. Pretty inexspensive item to buy if you work on vehicles alot. It comes in pretty handy on alot things.

I did the loan a tool from Advance, going to leave it on the ground and take the driveshadt down to make it easier. Hopefully have it running for work tomorrow or sooner. Gotta eat the big meal first though :)
