I am working on turboing or at least getting ready to turbo. I need to build my own glow plug harness and am looking for any imput. I have a couple spare n/a harnesses but I want to make this as clean as can be. I am just hoping you guys will have some imput or even possibly a picture of you factory harnesses. Also if you guys have found something that makes it better than the factory I am all ears. :dunno Also its going to be a 7.3 idi with an ats 093 and a hypermax intercooler. I believe the intercooler piping will allow me to do a valve cover gp controller mount, but any input is great!

Dunno what everyone else does, but I use AWG #10 wire to the plugs, and dress it
to look decent. If you use anything smaller, I would suggest making all the wires
the same length, but that does not dress as nicely. Toss the factory feed wire(s),
and use AWG #4 to the controller. I eliminate the plug, since it is easy enough to
remove the wire from the BAT+ terminal on the solenoid. Use a fuse if you want.
Use split plastic loom to dress and protect all wiring.

I just noticed - you are planning to add propane.
Be VERY careful with this engine. Use an oil pressure switch to feed the low side
of the relay, and a boost switch on the high side of the relay. Both normally OFF.

I would love to see a couple pictures actually, or one of it and a couple dimension. either way I don't care. One of just the harness so I can get a general view of how it will lay out, and if I see any measurements I will need I will let you know. thanks because I cant find too many pictures on google.

Also I don't think I will do propane, or at least for a while I have enough on my plate trying to turbo and intercool my engine, I am not going to throw in there fighting with propane too! Also I found out ats built into the system that It must see 5+ psi manifold pressure before you can add propane.

Okay, might take me a couple of days since I will be running all over for Christmas but I can get a couple of pictures next to a ruler or something for you.

FWIW - I added a factory ATS to my NA truck and never changed the harness or relocate the controller.

Hey thanks subway; and I have heard from several people including russ that is best to move it, and as much of a pain as it is to remove the turbo I really would like to try to get it on the valve cover, but we shall see how that goes!

I built a bracket that moved the controller on top of the driver's side valve cover (no CDR) and only had to extend one wire to fit.

Ok I tried to lay it out the way it routes on the engine. The square is a normal 24 inch t square.

Hey guys I just wanted to give you an update. I cheated. I found a 94 factory turbo harness. But I did want to thank you all for your support and help. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have gotten really busy lately. Anyway thanks, and if anyone needs a n/a harness I may have one! And if I get some gumption I may make one of my n/a harnesses into a turbo harness and sell to a fellow brother to help him(or her) out.
thanks!
