Truck idles but nothing more..stalls help! complete restoration

Hey, over the last year we've been doing a complete rebuild of and 86 F-250 with a 94 7.3 idi NA. Got a 2nd gen Banks sidewinder

After putting the truck back together we've got the truck to start and idle but cant rev any more. Stalls right away but will start back up no problem. Its been sitting for 4 years. Is it possible the IP went bad in the last year? it ran before we tore it down.
Injectors maybe?
Im using the old fuel that I currently have in the tanks. Im gonna put new fuel and a can of diesel kleen tomorrow and hope it does something.

Try removing the fuel filter and filling it with atf but make sure its poured into the outer ring of holes in the filter. That way the filter does its job of the fuel passing thru it. Get the engine running and wait for the engine sound to change. That tells you the atf is running the engine. Shut it down and let it sit overnite. hopefully it will flush the gummed up crap out of the injection pump.
