Are you saying your chalk method is better than my eye ball method?! :backoff

 I'm going to try that! After working in a tire shop through college I take pride in having long lasting tires. I notice my centers wear slightly quicker on some of my DD light towing trucks due to being over inflated for the job they do, my hauling trucks just wear out tires lol.

Seems us OLD dogs...can teach the young dogs new tricks....going to have to give it a whirl then ....It's all I can suggest...

Try it and dont pay attention to TP while doing it...start high...65bls...come down about 5 at a time...only takes 10-15 yards of travel to see sometimes more...keep chalking and re-chalking when you get close to full coverage removal...then come down 2 lbs at a time...till it's all wiped off even like! straight line driving...

My neighbors thought I was weird I'm sure...but really it's a great tool!

Just sayin

I run the door tag pressure most of the time, 58 psi . I value what little remnants of my spine that are left, even with air ride and an air seat, I cringe at every bump . Take 1.5 million miles of big trucks and top that off with the worst kind of arthritis and all the macho done run plum outta me. I'll keep those tires at just as much air as I need . Only time I run them up any higher is when hauling the 5er , I'll run the rear duals up to 80 for short runs, and if we're going long runs where i'm going to fill up the bed tank to where its going to load down the steer axle, i will bring teh steers up to 70-80 depending on if its hot or cold out ( if its hot, I'll go up to 80.. learned about that when turning wrenches at a bus company years ago, the terminal manager had worked for a big tire company for about 40 years, turns out heavily loaded tires will suffer more from friction when its hot out , and end up expanding MORE if inflated LESS to start with , so when running heavy and its hot, you want to start out high to cut the rolling resistance, and reduce the friction, in other words in teh heat a tire starting at 80 psi will expand less than a tire starting at 70 and be less likely to throw a tread ( so a tire starting at 70 will end up HIGHER from the heat friction buildup, but in the cool a tire starting at 70 will expand at the same rate
Considering our fleet had the lowest tire cost per unit around, the guy must have known his stuff ;Sweet

Now for those totally confused go find a wall and beat your head against it LOL

That's real interesting RLDSL. Advice taken.

I'm going to give Al's method a shot. Of air that is. Rofl

Personally I like my tires aired the same side to side, I will mark the left rear and front right. On a 6.5L those should be the heaviest spots one under the fuel tank and the other under a massive exhaust manifold and turbo.

I usually run what the door says. However i havent seen this mentioned yet but i make sure to drain the summer air out of the tires right at the first frost, and re-fill the tires with winter air. Then i run winter air until the ground thaws at which point I drain them again and refill with summer air. It really helps keep the tires from premature wear. ;Sweet

Yuppers....DO All four...

May take a while...cause I had to play a bit getting them all balanced out...some up some down...as you lower one it affects the other, I have it down to a science now and get it within a few lbs and fine tune accordingly...Helps to have an AIR pig or be near a compressor! Or have onboard air...rofl..:rotflmao

Like I said START HI...come down 5lbs a tire...doing all four at same time..till close! Then fine tune!;Sweet

Ride is nice...handling nice...I'm comfortable with my method....IT IS entirely a PERSONAL CHOICE to do this, I hold no responsibility for your decision to follow my method...
