Tips for removing valley pan

Man that thing is on there good. The RTV/sealant is proving difficult to separate from the engine block. Any tips for getting this thing off.

Can you easily get to this from both ends? Try sliding a thin flat tip screwdriver between one end and the block. Then start prying up gently (unless you're not trying to save it, then just pry). Once you get one end free, you can grab the parts that go around the intake ports and lift gently. You may have to work it up and down as you're lifting to get it to come loose. It may help to slide a knife under it and try to cut the RTV loose. If it's the factory stuff, it DOES stick very well.

Make sure you have all of the bolts out..there are 4 short bolts, one in each corner that I missed during my first time.
